OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK - DAY 2

No visit to Olympic National Park is complete without seeing a herd of beautiful Roosevelt elk. These were standing just off the road grazing on vegetation. Olympic has the largest herd of unmanaged elk in the United States.

Hard to imagine Sarah Palin arms herself and goes out and kills these gentle, defenseless creatures. I wish someone would give them a rifle to fight back!

FORKS is a town made famous from the popular movie Twilight. It is near the Olympic National Forest in Washington State.

This beach was used in the movie Twilight. Not much of the filming was actually done in Forks, WA. This beach is in Ecola State Park (Indian Beach), Oregon! It's a beautiful beach!
